Brief: While freelancing for this wellness/supplement company in 2021, I was tasked with writing email copy and product copy for onboarding flows, exit-intent flows and seasonal campaigns. My directive was that the copy should be targeted to specific audience segments (i.e., new customers vs. returning vs. acquisition) and based on the company’s brand style and detailed voice/tone constraints.

Response: Because this client had conducted a lot of analytics, market research, and had solid demographic info on their customers and potential customers, I first immersed myself in that data and research before starting to write. Once I had a solid understanding of not only voice/tone, but of where the consumer was at in their “journey,” I developed customized campaign copy, including quizzes, promotional product copy, button/microcopy, and health report follow-ups) for customers of this probiotic supplement. I worked closely with my design partner to ensure that the copy was complementary to the design elements and made appropriate spatial and style adjustments.
